In 1982 I got my first camera a Canon Snappy 50. Now this past week I now have a Nikon D300.

My new lens. Ive been wanting this lens for about a year now. So I finally decided to get it. This is a really sharp and fast lens. Now comes the learning part. Hopefully I’ll be ready for the upcoming weddings, trips, and sports events.

This should end my lens addiction for about a year maybe.

Today my cousin Devang got engaged to Rashvi. I think they make a cute couple.

It was my first attempt at being an event photographer. I think I still need lots of practice. My biggest challenge was getting people to pose. Maybe I’ll be better by the time my niece Jaanki gets married. She’s eight now.

Today I had a visit from Darth Vader…I didnt know he had a twin and a soccer girl as sidekick. May the force be with you.

Click on the fireworks to see more photos I took from Jones Beach Fireworks show. This year I was finally able to get to the boardwalk to watch them. Normally because of the beach traffic I miss it and watch from the side of the road. The show they put on is smaller then the big NYC Macy’s show but still beautiful to watch.

Snow hits a few weeks before the first day of winter.
